Prof. Dr. Pornchai O-Charoenrat is a noted surgeon, the one and only level-11 Professor of Head, Neck, and Breast surgery in the country. He is recognized as an expert in oncologic breast and thyroid cancer surgery domestically and internationally based on the publication of his work. He has been invited as a key speaker at many international conferences. He has more than 45 research publications in international journals of medicine and has written breast surgery and thyroid textbooks which are used by medical students and surgeons nationwide to further studies from the fundamental to new innovative treatments.
For over 20 years, he has given dedicated patient care with his thoughtful examination, diagnosis, and treatment. He prioritizes proper treatment modalities for the best outcome so patients can recover and have better quality of life. He introduces holistic treatment for both the physical and mental health of each patient. With his long-cultivated experience, he is honored as a surgeon with expertise in complex diseases such as drug-resistant cancers, cancer in patient with gene mutation, familial cancer syndrome, and breast reconstruction after mastectomy to allow patients to resume their life with confidence. He is constantly pioneering innovative treatments. In addition to his surgical expertise, he has done research on molecular genetics of cancer to seek out more effective treatment approaches.
